An exquisite yellow sapphire and diamond pendant necklace from the Edwardian (ca1900s) era! This outstanding necklace is crafted in 14k white gold, and features an absolutely magnificent pendant! The pendant is begun by a large 5.8ct oval cut yellow sapphire, which is held within a smooth and simple bezel setting. The sapphire is a no heat, Sri Lankan stone, and wonderfully complements the white gold setting. The sapphire is bordered on the top by a foliage-motif component, which is encrusted with bead-set rose cut diamonds. The pendant then features a vertical row of five old mine cut diamonds, which graduate slightly in size, and are held within milgrained bezel settings. The pendant is attached to a dainty white gold chain, which secures with a lobster claw clasp. The clasp is marked with a "14K" purity mark and a maker's mark which reads: "AD". Accompanying the yellow sapphire is a GIA Gemological Sapphire Origin Report (#2235494065) issued by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in February 2025, which confirms the stone was no treated by heat and is of Sri Lankan origin. A truly magnificent pendant necklace , it is positively breathtaking in person, and would look incredible worn on special occasions!
Measurements: The pendant measures 1 1/2" tall and 3/8" wide. The chain measures just under 18".
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold details or chain. The central sapphire and all of the diamonds are intact and secure. The lobster claw clasp is intact and in working order.
