A beautiful and unusual pink sapphire ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold and platinum, this ring features a solitaire, bezel-set pink sapphire. The round cut stone is wonderfully faceted, and displays a vibrant pink hue! The sapphire is first encircled by a hexagonal platinum frame, and then by a yellow gold frame of the same shape. The gallery of the ring features an "x"-motif cutout design, and the shoulders feature wheat-motif engravings. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank is stamped with a "14K" purity mark, two illegible hallmarks, and "A741". A dainty piece, this ring would be the perfect addition to any Edwardian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 4.5, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 1.52mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting, and the pink sapphire is intact and securely set.
