A very unique diamond and ruby ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This bold piece is crafted in both 18k yellow and white gold, and features a central .40ct old mine cut diamond. The diamond, which is bezel-set, displays H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. Interestingly, the diamond is surrounded by a faceted ruby plaque. The ruby is prong-set, and displays a vibrant pinkish-red hue. The shoulders of the ring feature a split-shank design, and the remainder of the thick band is smooth and simple. The inside of the band features an "18K" purity mark, and a maker's mark which reads: "CYM". A one-of-a-kind ring, this piece would be perfect for anyone looking to incorporate color into their engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a size 6, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 4.25mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the diamond and ruby plaque are both intact and securely set.
