This opal ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1900’s) era makes quite a stylish accessory! Crafted in 18k gold, this ring features an 8ct opal cabochon held within a four-prong clawed setting. The opal displays lovely flashes of orange, green, and blue. The shoulders of the ring feature an intricate ribbed-tube design, and are further decorated with foliage-motif etchings and a three-dimensional gold ball. The gallery of the ring features a delicate scrolling-motif cutout design. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank is marked "K18". A fabulous piece, this ring would make a great addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 8.25, but could easily be resized up or down as desired. The opal centerpiece measures approximately 7/8" tall, 1/2" wide, and rests 1/4" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the opal stone, which is intact and securely set.
