An exquisite sapphire and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 18k white gold and platinum, this ring features a central prong-set 1.20ct sapphire cabochon. The cabochon is a no heat Ceylon, and displays a marvelous deep blue hue. The sapphire is encircled by a halo of old mine cut diamonds, which are all bead-set. Each shoulder of the ring features four additional bead-set single cut diamonds. Overall, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of 1.60ctw, and display H/J color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The top and bottom edge of the ring feature additional scrolling-motif engravings, and the remainder of the band is smooth and simple. This ring would make a fabulous and unique engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a size 5.75, but could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold or platinum settings. The central sapphire and all of the diamonds are secure and intact.
