A very unusual ring from the Edwardian (ca190s) era! This unique ring is crafted in vibrant 18k yellow gold, and features a rectangular-shaped centerpiece, which is adorned with a checkerboard-design. The checkerboard-design is comprised of alternating sapphires and diamonds. The sapphires have an approximate total carat weight of 1ctw and display a deep, luscious blue hue. The diamonds, which are all old mine cuts, have an approximate total carat weight of .50ctw. The diamonds display H color and SI1 clarity. All of the stones are held within bead-settings, and the remainder of the band is smooth and simple. The inside of the shank is stamped with a variety of hallmarks, which include a crown-motif, the number "18", a shield-motif, and the letter "A". These hallmarks indicate that the piece is English in origin. A playful and colorful ring, this piece would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is currently a size 7.25, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 2.15mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the stones are intact and securely set.
