A bold sapphire and diamond halo ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in sleek platinum, this ring features a central .45ct cushion cut sapphire, which is spectacularly faceted, and displays a purplish-blue hue. The central sapphire is encircled by a halo comprised of 12 bead-set mine cut diamonds. The mine cut diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .60ctw, and display H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The most exterior border of the ring's centerpiece consists of channel-set calibrated sapphires, which also display a deep, luscious hue. The gallery of the ring features a swirling heart-motif cutout design, and each shoulder of the ring features an additional bead-set mine cut diamond. The band of the ring is smooth and simple, and the piece is French in origin. A one-of-a-kind find, this ring would blend seamlessly into any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is a size 5.75, but could easily be re-sized. The band has a width of 1.55mm. The centerpiece has a height of 5/8" and a width of 5/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the sapphire and diamonds are intact and securely set.
