A stunning diamond and sapphire necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in platinum topped 14kt yellow gold, this beautiful piece features five triangular links which alternate with four glittering Full Cut diamonds. Each triangular link displays gorgeous milgraining and open channels throughout and is adorned with a natural sapphire set within a delicate bezel frame. Single Cut diamonds further enhance the necklace, and three old Rose Cut diamonds dangle from hinged bezels below the central three links. The outer two links are slightly contoured to create a soft, elegant neckline, and each connects to a fine platinum chain that secures with a patterned 14kt white gold clasp secured further by a figure-8 latch. This necklace looks absolutely incredible when worn and would be a beautiful addition to any Edwardian collection.
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 16" in length. The multi-link central design measures a contoured 3 1/4" wide. The necklace hangs nearly 1/2" long at the center, including the hinged diamond dangle.
Condition: The necklace is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum-topped gold setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The natural sapphires are free of chips and scratches and are securely set. The push clasp and its additional latch are secure and in good working condition.
