A spectacular opal and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in platinum, this ring features a 9.5ct Lightning Ridge opal cabochon. The prong-set opal is simply mesmerizing, display breathtaking flashes of green, yellow, orange, purple, and blue. Each shoulder of the ring features a heart-shaped plaque, which is encrusted with bead-set single cut diamonds. Together, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .20ctw, and display H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank is stamped: "10% IRID PLAT" and with 4 small circle-motifs. An eye-catching piece, this ring would make an exquisite addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is currently a size 7.25, but could easily be resized. The opal has a height of 3/4" and a width of 1/2". The band has a width of 1.5mm.
Condition: The ring is in excellent condition. There is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and the opal and diamonds are all intact and securely set.
