A brilliant and colorful ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in platinum, this ring features an elongated, navette-style centerpiece. The centerpiece features a bezel-set, 5ct opal cabochon. The gorgeous stone displays vibrant flashes of green, blue, orange, and red, and wonderfully contrasts the platinum mounting. The opal is complemented on the top and bottom by a border of channel-set, tapered cut emeralds, which display a luscious green hue. Together, the emeralds have an approximate total carat weight of .80ctw. The sides of the centerpiece feature a detailed cutout-design, which incorporates scrolling and foliage-motifs. Furthermore, each shoulder of the ring is encrusted with small, bead-set single cut diamonds, which have an approximate total carat weight of .20ctw. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple. A striking ring, this piece would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is currently a size 5, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 1.45mm. The centerpiece has a height of 7/8" and a width of 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all of the stones are intact and securely set.
