Edwardian Platinum Sapphire + Diamond Cluster Ring 0.70ct center
A stunning sapphire and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This gorgeous piece is crafted in platinum and features a gorgeous faceted sapphire resting at the center of a sparkling diamond border. The bezel set sapphire weighs approximately 0.70ct, exhibiting a rich blue color as the facets catch the light beautifully with every turn. A sparkling border of old Mine Cut diamonds encircles the center stone, pairing perfectly against the richly colored sapphire. Three rows of accent diamonds graduate along each shoulder, adding more light catching effects to the stunning design, and collectively all of the diamonds weigh 0.50ctw. Fine milgrained work decorates the entire centerpiece, and a delicate cutout design travels along the band which graduates slightly towards the back. A unique and stunning piece, it would look perfect worn on special occasions, or it would make a spectacular gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.25, but it could easily be re-sized if desired. The sapphire and diamond centerpiece measures a little under 1/2" in diameter and rests 1/8" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The sapphire and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
