An absolutely magnificent diamond riviera necklace from the Georgian (ca1790s) era! Crafted in 15kt yellow gold and topped in sterling silver, this spectacular necklace features approximately 5ctw of glittering Rose Cut and Table Cut diamonds in patinaed collet settings. The 61 diamonds graduate in size towards the center of the necklace, their facets beautifully glinting in the light. A push clasp in the form of two box-set diamonds secures the piece. A small bail hides behind the central Rose Cut diamond, allowing the necklace to support a complementary pendant. A rare and stunning necklace, this is an incredible piece of Georgian-era craftsmanship and would be an exquisite addition to a special collection.
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 14 5/8" in length. If requested, the necklace can be extended by a chain upon purchase. The center diamond measures about 1/4" tall by slightly more than 9/32" wide, and the smallest measures about 1/8" in diameter.
Condition: The necklace is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
