A fantastic ring from the Georgian (ca1750s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this navette-style ring features a wonderful centerpiece. The centerpiece is encrusted with 11 rose cut diamonds, which are all held within collet-settings. The centerpiece features a marquise-shaped plaque, which is decorated with 3 diamonds running vertically. The plaque also features a border of black enameling. The remaining 8 diamonds form an oblong halo. The shoulders of the ring feature a split-design and feature a subtle band-detail. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple, and the backside of the centerpiece features a blooming-floral design. A bold piece, this ring would make a great addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is a size 8.75, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 2.25mm, and the centerpiece measures 1 1/4" tall and 3/4" wide.
Condition: The ring is in great antique condition. There is no apparent damage to the sterling mounting, and all of the diamonds are secure and intact. The enameling is intact and free from any chips or scratches.
