A beautiful diamond engagement ring from the Retro (ca1941) era! Crafted in platinum, this wonderful piece features a square-pronged setting cradling a gorgeous old European Cut diamond at the center. The sparkling stone weighs approximately 0.65ct and exhibits I color and SI1 clarity. Lining the shoulders of the mounting are an additional 6 Single Cut diamonds, the perfect complement to the brilliant center stone! The accent diamonds have a combined total weight of 0.06ctw and the sides display an attractive airline detail. The inside of the band is marked with an "100 PLAT 100 IRID" purity mark as well as the hand engraved message "W.J.N. to R.M.G. 11-7-41". The ring was appraised in December 2020 by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Gemologist and has a stated retail replacement value of $3,500.00. A very classic and feminine piece, it looks breathtaking when worn and would make a perfect engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.75 but could be easily re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamond stones, all of which are intact.
