A fabulous ram's head bangle bracelet from the Retro (ca1940s) era! This striking piece is crafted in sterling silver and features two ram's heads which meet at the front of the hinged style bangle. Each 3-dimensional head features incredible carved details, including ribbed horns, realistic facial features, and wavy hair, providing wonderful texture to the design. Beautiful beadwork decorates the neck and embellishes a lovely geometric motif, adding a wonderful feminine touch. A similar design surrounds the hinge on this bangle, which features a small opening between the ram heads, expanding to accommodate the wearer's wrist, and closing quickly to a snug and secure fit. A "925" silver purity mark is stamped along the underside of one of the animal's neck. The natural darkened patina on the carved details beautifully compliments the smoothly polished bangle, making it a wonderful everyday accessory and a perfect addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: When closed, the bracelet opening (where a wrist would rest), measures approximately 2 1/2" wide and 2" tall and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures slightly more than 3/4" wide at the front and about 3/8" wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. The hinged design is in good working condition.
