Not many people are aware that Newark, New Jersey was a major hub for the manufacture of jewelry from the late 1800's until the 1950's. One of the leading companies, the Riker Brothers, has an early history that dates back to 1846. Their pieces are quite sought after and still remain highly collectible today!

This stunning bangle bracelet from the Art Nouveau era (ca1900) is a wonderful example of the Riker Brothers' talent! Crafted in vibrant 14k yellow gold, the bracelet is a slip-on style bangle, and features five sparkling diamonds set across the front. Known for their attention to detail, the gold piece is decorated in a lovely floral and scrolling etched design, which carries along the entire outer surface. The old European cut diamonds are uniform in size and each set in a slightly raised bezel, and collectively weighing 1.25ctw. The interior is stamped with the Riker Brothers sword maker's mark along with "14K." The bangle's design is very versatile, and would look wonderful worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bracelets. A wonderful Art Nouveau piece by a legendary maker, it would compliment any collection!

Measurements: The inside opening of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The surface measures a little less than 3/8" wide and is 1/4" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there are no apparent dents or dings to the gold, and no damage to the etched design and all of the stones are intact.
