TIFFANY & CO. Art Deco Platinum Diamond Fur Clip Necklace 1 ctw

This breathtaking fur clip necklace from the Art Deco era (ca1920) is a stunning example of Tiffany & Co. work from the era! This gorgeous piece is crafted in platinum and encrusted with approximately 1.00ctw of sparkling diamonds. This incredible piece is emblematic of jewelry designs from the Art Deco era, complete with scrolling cutouts, geometric arches, and etched accents. Decorating the intricate design are a total of 18 full cut diamonds which exhibit G/H range color and a clarity of VS1. Fine milgrain detail surrounds the stones, which are delicately lined in bead settings. Detailing the outer columns, just below the diamond settings, are intricately etched floral motif patterns. The back of the piece reveals a platinum hinged clip lined three small piercing pins, allowing the piece to clamp securely onto a favorite garment. A fine platinum chain is threaded through the closed piece to wear as an elegant pendant. The back of the clip is signed with the authentic "TIFFANY&CO" hallmark along with "IRID PLAT". A magnificent piece by a legendary maker, this spectacular clip necklace would make a special addition to any collection!

Measurements: The clip measures approximately 7/8" tall, 3/4" wide, and 1/4" at the thickest point. The chain chain measures 16 1/2" long.

Condition: The overall condition of the clip is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to platinum setting, chain, or to the diamond encrusted design. All of the diamonds are intact and the clamp fastens securely.
