Born in Florence, Elsa Peretti's first introduction with her collection began at Tiffany & Co. in 1974. During that time her collection debuted to high acclaim. Her inspiration in jewelry came from nature with elements such as bones, beans, hearts, scorpions, snakes, teardrops and sea-shells. Peretti's designs are translated in a wide variety of materials, however her most popular designs are her works in silver.
A lovely Estate diamond engagement ring set from legendary maker Tiffany & Company! This beautiful set is comprised of a gorgeous diamond ring and an accompanying wedding band, each crafted in platinum. The engagement ring holds a round Brilliant Cut diamond which weights approximately 0.73ct, with H color and VS1 clarity. The stunning stone is set within the classic six prong setting, resting atop a sleek, simple mounting and stamped along the shank is the authentic "©TIFFANY & Co." signature along with "PT950" and "21705675."
The wedding band is by Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. and also crafted in platinum. The piece features a single row of nine sparkling round Brilliant Cut diamonds, each bezel set within a smoothly polished and curved band. Collectively, the band has a total approximate diamond weight of 0.20ctw with color in the G-H range and clarity in the VS range. Referred to as her sculptural "wedding band," the ring is designed to pair with a complimentary engagement ring and looks fantastic worn with this classic Tiffany setting. Stamped along the shank is the authentic "TIFFANY & Co." signature along with "PT950" and "©PERETTI SPAIN". The ring, which is still available at Tiffany stores, retails for $1,750.00.
The engagement set was appraised by an independent and accredited Gemologist in August 2018 and has a stated retail replacement value of $14,000.00. The two rings look absolutely beautiful paired together and would make a perfect engagement ring set!
Measurements: The rings have a finger size of 6.5 and 6.25 (as they are designed to be worn together with the band below the engagement ring) but they could both be easily re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the engagement ring set is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamonds and all of the stones are intact.
