A beautiful Australian opal ring from the Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Resting in the center of this striking piece is a round Australian crystal opal cabochon, which is bezel set within a 14kt yellow gold mounting. Surrounding the center cabochon is a border of 8 additional small prong set opal cabochons that form a beautiful halo. The opals have a wonderful translucent base tones with vibrant specks of green and blue that flash in the light. All of the smaller opals are suspended in raised prong settings with milgrain detailing and etchings between them and a decorative engraved gold design at each shoulder completing this lovely piece. A very unusual and eye-catching piece, this beautiful ring would make a special addition to any collection!

Measurements: The opal centerpiece has a diameter of just over 1/2" and rests 2/5" above the finger when worn. The center stone is approximately 6.5mm in diameter. The ring has a finger size of 5.75 but could easily be re-sized up or down if desired.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or the opal stones, all of which are intact.
