Victorian 12k/Sterling Emerald + Diamond Star Pocket Watch 4+ctw

SKU: 45940

$3,595

An absolutely exquisite emerald and diamond encrusted pocket watch from the Victorian (1880s) era! This exceptional piece is crafted in 12k gold and topped in sterling silver, creating a subtle mixed metals appeal. On one side of the watch is an incredible five-point star motif encrusted with sparkling old emeralds and rose cut diamonds, the other displays the open face watch dial under a curved crystal. The sparkling stones weigh approximately 4+ctw combined and brilliantly catch the light with every turn.

The watch opens at a secure bottom hinge to reveal four sections: the open-backed star design, a gold protective disc, the encasement of the watch movement and face, and the watch crystal encircled. The inside of the smooth gold casing protecting the watch's movement, reads "K12" and a serial number. Accompanying the watch is a spectacular matching watch hook with a locking straight pin. The watch hook is also decorated with sterling as well as rose cut diamonds and old emeralds. This show stopping piece is ready to wear on a favorite lapel or outfit and would make a phenomenal addition to any Victorian collection.

Measurements: The watch measures 1" in diameter. The watch hook measures 1" long and 1" wide.

Condition: The pocket watch pendant remains in excellent antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling silver setting and all of the stones are intact and securely set. The crown turns properly and the  bail is secure. The watch does not work in its current state. The piece could be taken to a horologist to have the movement addressed for an additional cost.
