A gorgeous cameo ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, this ring features a pill-shaped agate centerpiece. The bezel-set agate has been hand-carved to depict a cameo showcasing a tall, slender woman adorned in flowing garments. The woman holds a pitcher in one hand, and a basin in the other. Her curly hair is held within a loose updo as she pours the contents of the pitcher into the basin. The dark brown hue of the female cameo image is wonderfully contrasted by a white background. The shoulders of the ring feature a pillar-design, and the remainder of the band features a ribbed-design. The inside of the shank features an original, personalized engraving which reads: "C.M. 2". An intricate piece, this ring would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is currently a size 5, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 2.36mm. The cameo centerpiece has a height of 7/8" and a width of 3/8".
Condition: The ring is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The agate stone is intact, free of chips and scratches, and is securely set.
