A beautiful sapphire and diamond bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, this piece features alternating, bead-set Ceylon sapphires and diamonds. Each stone is surrounded by a carved starburst-motif frame, which adds a lovely touch to the piece. Together, the 3 sapphires have an approximate total carat weight of .60ctw, and display a luscious blue hue. The sapphires have not been treated with heat. The two diamonds, which are both mine cuts, have an approximate total carat weight of .15ctw, and display J/K color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The front of the bracelet also features Etruscan-style wirework and small, three-dimensional gold balls. The back half of the bangle is smooth and simple, and the piece secures with a hidden push clasp and additional safety chain. A stunning example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, this bangle would make a wonderful addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) has a width of 2 1/4" and a height of 1 7/8". The surface of the piece has a height of 1/4".
Condition: The bracelet is in good condition given the piece's age. There are a few minor dents on the exterior surface of the bangle. There is no damage to the Etruscan-style wirework. All of the sapphires and diamonds are secure and intact, and the push clasp and safety chain are both in working order.
