A wonderful pair of hanging coral earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold these beautiful earrings feature smoothly-polished and hand carved salmon-colored coral links. Each consists of three graduated coral beads which are set in a vertical row, hanging from a clasped earring wire. Attached at the bottom are three small carved coral spears, which dangle freely to create a fringe-like appeal that adds lovely movement to the design. The artistic design beautifully frames the face and the earrings are lightweight and comfortable to wear. They look stunning on and are perfect for any coral lover!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 1/4" long, measuring from the top of the wire to the base of the coral fringe, and are a little less than 1/2" at the widest.
Condition: The earrings remain in excellent overall antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or coral beads, which are intact and securely attached. The top of three of the small coral spears have some minor chipping where the wires are riveted, however, due to the size and location, the damage is not noticeable when worn. The earring wires are secure and in good condition.
