A beautiful chalcedony bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is Austrian in origin and has a wide, slip-on style with a feminine design. The surface is delicately etched with a swirled scrolled motif, very common to the Victorian era. A row of chalcedony stones are bezel set around the outside surface, adding a lovely and eye-catching accent! Each chalcedony cabochon is smoothly polished and has a soft periwinkle blue color. The inside of the bangle is stamped "585" along with two Austrian hallmarks. A very stylish piece, it makes a wonderful statement when worn and would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The interior of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) has a 2 1/2" diameter. The surface of the bracelet measures 5/8" wide. The total pennyweight of the piece is 14.0 dwt (21.7 grams).
Condition: The overall condition of this bracelet is excellent. There is some light surface wear to the gold, including a few minor dings in the surface, which is common for antique Victorian jewelry. However, they are hardly noticeable and do not detract from the beauty of the piece. All of the chalcedony stones are intact and securely set.
