A beautiful diamond flower pin/pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This exquisite sterling topped 14kt yellow gold piece is adorned with a double layer of diamond encrusted petals that surround a larger old Mine Cut diamond at the center. A combination of old Rose and Mine Cut stones rest in a bead setting, and together with the center diamond, the stones have a collective weight of approximately 1.25ctw. The diamonds sparkle beautifully with every turn, creating a dazzling, light-catching array. Two raised levels of petals create a unique 3-dimensional shape, providing a realistic flower design. A pin and clasp on the back have the ability to unscrew and allow the piece to also be worn as a pendant. An extraordinary and unique Victorian piece, it would make a spectacular addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin/pendant is approximately 1" in diameter and about 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver and yellow gold setting and all of the diamonds are secure and intact. The pin clasp and screw mechanism is secure and in good working order.
