An absolutely exquisite diamond and ruby pendant from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This breathtaking piece is crafted in sterling silver topped 15kt rose gold and displays a gorgeous and romantic design. Two overlapping heart motifs rest at the center, below a feminine bow surmount. The bow and one of the hearts are both topped in sterling silver and adorned with sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds, each one catching the light beautifully with every turn. The other heart is crafted in rose gold, creating a fantastic mixed metals appeal, and is encrusted with raspberry red faceted rubies. Dangling from the center of each heart is a singular diamond and ruby, both resting in an open back bezel frame, adding wonderful movement to the design. Finishing the piece is a hidden bail at the back, perfect for adding this stunning Victorian pendant to a favorite chain. A very unusual and special design, this romantic pendant would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant measures approximately 1" tall, about 3/4" wide, and is about 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold and silver setting. All of the diamonds and rubies are intact and securely set. The bail is secure and in good working order.
