An intricate pair of ball earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 15k yellow gold, each earring begins with a lovely dome-shaped surmount. The surmount is adorned with intricate Etruscan-style wirework, which incorporates floral and trefoil-motifs. The earrings then feature a dangling gold ball, which are each adorned with matching Etruscan wirework detailing, which incorporates trefoil and scrolling-motifs. The bottom of each gold ball features a small gold bead, and the earrings are completed by earring wires and lever backs. An incredible pair, these earrings would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 3/8" long (including the earring wires). Each gold ball has a width of 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The earring wires and lever backs are intact and in working order.
