A beautiful riviera necklace from the late Victorian (ca1900s) era! Converted from a link bracelet and crafted in 15k yellow gold, this necklace is comprised of 18, fluted bezel-set sapphires. Although the sapphires vary in exact cut and shape, all of the stones display a hue of blue, ranging between cornflower to periwinkle. This individuality makes the necklace truly remarkable, as no two sapphires are identical, and the bloomed yellow gold highlights the sparkling stones beautifully. The approximate carat weight of the sapphires is estimated at 13.5+ carats. Accompanying the piece is a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) sapphire Origin Report #2221721117) from December of 2022, which certifies that three of the stones are natural, no-heat, and of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) origin. The necklace is completed by a box clasp in one of the sapphire-encrusted links, fit with a figure-eight style safety latch. This one-in-a-million necklace has such a stunning look, surely the next owner will covet it for generations to come.
Measurements: The necklace has a total length of 14.5".
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace t is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the sapphires are intact and securely set. The box clasp and figure-eight safety mechanism are both secure and in working order.
