Victorian 18k/Sterling Silver Ruby, Pearl, & Diamond Cat Pin

This beautiful cat pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era is such a wonderful piece! Made of 14kt yellow gold, the pin is incredibly detailed, representing a 3-dimensional collared cat walking. The intricately etched design represents the cat's fur and facial features, including its whiskers, nose, mouth, and ears, with two small rubies represent each of the cat's eyes. Wrapped around its neck is a silver-topped collar lined with sparkling diamonds and a small pearl hanging from a jump ring at the bottom, a wonderful finishing touch! On the back of the piece is a simple bar pin and c-clasp, allowing it to be easily fastened to a favorite garment. Perfect for any cat lover, this charming pin would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures approximately 1 3/8" long and 5/8" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or silver settings and the pearl, rubies, and diamonds are all intact and securely set. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition. The piece has a natural patina present on the surface of the gold, which is normal for an antique piece and adds depth to the design.
