A fabulous gold horseshoe pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous piece is crafted in 18k yellow gold and features 7 alternating gemstones. The horseshoe holds four Rose Cut diamonds, weighing approximately .25ctw. The three sapphires are a bright blue hue and collectively weigh approximately 60ctw. The horseshoe has a smooth finish and simple overall design. The placement of the bail at the top right of the piece allows the horseshoe to hang at an angle, giving the pendant an eye-catching look when worn. A very attractive and lightweight piece, it would look lovely worn alone on a chain or worn as a charm on a bracelet. Perfect for the equestrian enthusiast, it would make a fantastic addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/8" long at an angle, including the bail. The horseshoe itself measures 3/4" tall, 5/8" at the widest point and 3/16" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the horseshoe is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold pendant or to the bail, which is intact. All of the sapphires and diamond stones are intact and securely set.
