An absolutely stunning diamond starburst pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece is crafted of 18kt yellow gold and forms the shape of a dazzling 16-point starburst. Resting at the center is a sparkling prong set old Mine Cut diamond which has a total approximate weight of 0.50ct. Encircling the center stone is an eight-point star which displays eight sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds set in its etched triangular shapes. Finishing the stunning, bursting star design are 16 elongated points which encompass the entire piece, each alternating in design and accented by one or two beautiful old Rose Cut diamonds. Collectively, the total approximate carat weight for the piece is 1.25ctw. The piece has a slightly convex face, and the diamonds look stunning paired with the vibrant yellow gold. The pendant, which was originally a pin, has since been converted for modern day wear and has a hidden bail at the top. This incredibly stunning pendant has an elegant and feminine design and would make an outstanding addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, measures 1 1/4” wide and has a depth of 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The bail is secure and in excellent working condition.
