SKU: 45952

$4,995
A spectacular emerald and diamond bracelet from the Victorian era (ca1860s)! Made of rosy 14k yellow gold, this Austro-Hungarian made bracelet is a hinged bangle style with a stunning gemstone-encrusted centerpiece. Resting at the center is a magnificent prong-set cabochon emerald with a luscious green color and fabulous garden of inclusions, estimated to weigh approximately 3ctw. The emerald sits in an elevated box style setting, with a petite rose cut diamond resting at each corner where the prongs are situated. A frame of rose cut diamonds surrounds the emerald cabochon, offering additional sparkle to the piece. Crawling down either shoulder of the front of the bracelet is a row of 9 rose cut diamonds, 18 total. We estimate there to be approximately 0.35ctw of rose cut diamonds total in the bracelet. The bracelet is hinged, making it ease to put on and take off. The design of the bracelet is complete with a simple hidden push clasp which is also fitted with a safety chain for extra security. You will notice a series of three hallmarks on the side of the piece, including the maker's initials, "HG" in a rectangular frame, a wolf's head with the letters PF in a diamond frame signaling Austro-Hungarian origin, circa the late 1860s as well as a letter date mark. A gorgeous and very well made piece, it would make an impressive addition to any collection!

Measurements: The interior circumference of the bracelet measures 6" and would best fit a smaller than average-sized wrist. The emerald's setting measures 1/2" square.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and diamonds and emerald are intact and secure. The push clasp opens easily and fastens securely, and the safety chain is intact.
