A beautiful ruby and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in vibrant 18k yellow gold, the front of this ring is encrusted with eye-catching stones. The centerpiece features a central .75ct oval cut ruby, which displays a luscious purplish-red hue. The left and right corners of the centerpiece feature 2 additional round cut rubies, which have a combined carat weight of .70ctw, and display a similar hue. The space between the stunning rubies is completely encrusted with a variety of old mine cut and single cut diamonds, which have an approximate total carat weight of .68ctw, and display G/H color and VS2-SI1 clarity. All of the stones are held within shared prong-settings, and the remainder of the band is smooth and simple. The inside of the band features a variety of hallmarks, although 2 of them are indistinguishable. However, two of the hallmarks are distinct and include a crown-motif and the letter "X". These hallmarks indicate that the piece originated in England. A colorful piece, this ring would make a bold addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is a size 6.5, but could easily be re-sized. The band has a width of 2.2mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the rubies and diamonds are intact and securely set.
