A wonderful ruby and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18k vibrant yellow gold, this ring features 3 stones running horizontally cross the front of the piece. The central stone is an old mine cut diamond, which is bead-set and surrounded by a wonderful starburst-motif engraving. The diamond has an approximate total carat weight of .08ctw and displays H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The diamond rests atop a square-shaped centerpiece, which is smooth and simple. The diamond is complemented on both the left and right by 2 additional square-shaped panels, which each feature a bead-set round cut Burmese ruby. The rubies are also surrounded by starburst-motif engravings, and have an approximate total carat weight of .20ctw. The rubies display a vivid pinkish-red hue and have not been treated with heat. The shoulders of the ring each feature a swirling-motif and dainty geometric-engraving. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple, and the inside of the band is stamped with an "18CT" purity mark. A one-of-a-kind ring, this piece would be perfect for everyday wear!
Measurements: The ring is a size 8.5, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 4.2mm.
Condition: The ring is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold mounting, and all of the small stones are intact and securely set.
