A stunning and bold medallion necklace with pieces from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This lovely compilation piece is crafted in 9kt rose gold and adorns 5 beautiful and genuine medals hanging along the center of a lovely chain. Each decorative medallion is unique in design with three of the pendants graced with lovely yellow gold accents, adding a wonderful mixed metals appeal. The metals are all graced with elegant etching and some feature a wonderful raised shield motif at the center. The back of each medallion is stamped with multiple English makers marks and hallmarks indicating a few were assayed in the city of Birmingham between the dates of 1849-1926 and one was assayed in the city of Chester in 1913. The simple yet elegant interlocking link chain fastens at a barrel clasp in the back stamped with a "9C" gold purity mark along with a “9CT” gold purity mark on a nearby link. The compilation of these incredible medallions makes this necklace a very unique statement piece!
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 18" long. The largest medallion hangs 1 5/8" long, measures 1 3/8" tall, and 1” wide. The smallest medal has a 1” diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the rose or yellow gold setting. The barrel clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
