Victorian Gold-Fill Garnet Frame Pendant

A bold frame pendant from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in gold-fill, this piece begins with a floral-motif surmount, which is encrusted with prong-set garnets. The backside of the floral-motif surmount features a complimentary bail, which would allow the wearer to easily attach the large pendant to a favorite chain. The piece then features a large, oval-shaped frame, which features an exterior border of additional, prong-set garnet stones. All of the garnets display an incredibly vivid red hue. The bottom of the frame features a lovely bow-motif adornment. The frame is protected on both the front and back by glass panes, and features interior white cloth. The back rim of the frame opens easily, and would easily allow the wearer to insert a sentimental photograph.
