A gorgeous and highly-detailed pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in gold-fill, each earring begins with a fleur-de-lis shaped surmount, which is adorned with black and white-toned enameling. Each surmount features blooming floral and foliage-motifs. The earrings then feature an elongated link, which is also decorated with black, white, green, and blue enameling. The elongated link also features blooming floral and foliage-motifs. The dangling link is surrounded by a border of smaller fan and scrolling-motif links, which are also adorned with enamel-detailing. The earrings are completed by simple earring wires. A wonderful example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, these earrings would make a one-of-a-kind addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings have a total length of 2 1/4" and measure 7/8" at their widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is good given their age. There is no apparent damage to the gold-fill setting, and the earring wires are in working order. Some of the enameling is slightly chipped, which is commensurate with the age of the earrings.
