A gorgeous coral bead necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely necklace is comprised of a single strand of graduated coral beads, which are hand strung on white thread. Each natural and undyed bead has a smoothly polished surface and displays a spectacular, rich red color. The graduated beads meet at a barrel push clasp, also made of coral, in the back for a secure closure. Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 28" in length. The largest bead, which is in the center of the strand, measures approximately 1/4" long and the smallest bead measures 1/8" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to any of the beads, which are all intact and securely strung. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
