A highly unique Scottish agate pendant necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this piece begins with a sterling silver rolo-style chain necklace. The chain alternates with 8 cylindrical agate links, which display mossy green, orange, and cream hues. Each agate link is capped on both ends by engraved-silver octagonal links. The engraved caps feature small floral, texturizing, and wheat-motif engravings. The center of the necklace features a large bezel-set agate stone, which features a padlock-style bail. The larger agate pendant displays incredible burnt orange and cream marbling. A bold piece, this necklace would make a fantastic addition to any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The necklace has a total length of 19". The padlock extension has a height of 1 3/8" and a width of 3/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant necklace is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the sterling chain, and all of the agate links are intact and free from any chips or serious damage. The padlock clasp is secure and in working order.
