A wonderful banded agate necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of a single strand of banded agate beads, which form a striking necklace. The agate beads are graduated, with the largest in the center, and all of them are smoothly polished and have magnificent coloring, with rich black and dark brown hues marbled with stripes of milky white. The beads are connected by small sterling silver jump rings, and the piece secures with a simple hook clasp. The simple yet attractive design is very wearable and would make a perfect everyday necklace. This eye-catching piece looks wonderful when worn and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The entire necklace measures approximately 20" long. The largest agate bead has a diameter of 15.6mm, and the smallest 10mm.
Condition:The overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to any of the beads, which are all intact and secure. All of the sterling silver jump rings are intact and securely attached. The clasp is secure and in working order.
