This unusual pendant necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era is a wonderful example of jewelry crafted from carved horn! The piece begins with a simple sterling silver rolo chain, which secures with a spring ring clasp. A lovely carved horn pendant is attached to the piece, and displays a lovely brownish-black hue, which wonderfully contrasts the sterling silver. The piece features an inlaid sterling silver top, which features blooming flower, curling foliage, and a padlock motif. The top of the piece features a complementary bail, allowing the piece to attach to the chain. A fantastic Victorian-era piece, this pendant necklace would be perfect for any antique jewelry lover!
Measurements: The chain measures 17". The pendant measures 2" long (including the bail) and has a width of just under 1 1/2".
Condition: The pendant necklace is in excellent antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there are no significant chips or scratches to the carved horn. The sterling silver chain and details are all secure and intact. The spring ring clasp is in working order.
