A unique pool of light claw pendant necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This incredible piece begins with a fabulous sterling silver snake chain, which has fantastic movement and secured with a simple lobster claw clasp. The chain is accompanied by a large pendant, which depicts an open claw wrapped around a rock quartz crystal "pool of light" orb. The claw is decorated with intricate engravings, which add a lifelike quality to the pendant. The top of the pendant features a large bail, which allows the pendant to move freely along the snake chain. A lovely pendant necklace, this piece would blend seamlessly into any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The sterling chain measures approximately 19" in total length. The pendant hangs about 2 1/2" long (including the bail) and is approximately 1 1/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver chain or lobster claw clasp. The pendant and pool of light orb are intact and free from any chips. The complimentary bail is intact and in working order.
