An usual pair of vintage (ca1960s) hand carved blackamoor earrings! These wonderful earrings are of Italian descent, and have a detailed 3-dimensional design. The sculpted faces are each intricately hand carved from ebony. A clasped 14kt gold wire is riveted into the top of the head, allowing each earring to dangle when worn. At the bottom of each earrings is a small gold plaque with a "14K" stamp, and delicate gold hoops are riveted at each ear. These artistic earrings are simply exceptional, and would make a unique addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 5/8" long, are approximately 5/8" at the widest point and a little more than 3/4" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the carved ebony faces or gold findings. The clasped earring wires are secure and in good working condition.
