AMERIKANER Late Art Deco Gold Filled Snake Wrap Bracelet
A very stylish late Art Deco (ca1930s) snake bracelet from maker Amerikaner! Crafted in gold fill, this wonderful piece has a 3-dimensional design represented by a serpent's body, whose tail and body coils around the wrist. A tightly coiled snake chain gives wonderful texture to the design and the head of the snake is enhanced with engraved detail, giving it a scaled appearance. Stamped on the underside of the snake's head is the "AMERIKANER" hallmark along with another small hallmark. The bracelet has flexible design that expands slightly when wrapped around the wrist, adjusting to the size of your wrist accordingly and eliminating the need for a clasp. This bracelet would be perfect for any snake lover and would make a striking everyday piece for the fashion conscious woman!
Measurement: The opening of the bracelet (where your wrist would rest) is slightly adjustable, with the smallest size measuring 2" in diameter. When stretched, the bracelet expands to approximately 2 1/2" in diameter. Its measurements would most comfortably fit a medium sized wrist. The widest point of the bracelet measures 3/4" wide at the snake head and 5/8" in the body.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the bracelet and the flexible design is very tight and secure and still retains its shape.
