Victorian 15kt Enameled Golf Motif Double-Sided Cufflinks
A wonderful pair of enameled cufflinks from the Victorian (ca1880) era! English in origin, each 15kt gold cufflink has a double-sided design comprised of two oval discs. Each disc depicts a unique golf motif, which is illustrated in hand-painted enamel detail. The charming designs include golfers in various poses, captured in mid swing, or gently preparing to putt. All four of the golfers wear traditional attire, including old fashioned breeches, knee socks, buttoned jackets, and caps. A strand of gold chain connects the cufflinks together, which are stamped "15CT" on the back. An attractive and unusual pair of antique cufflinks, they are perfect for the golf enthusiast!
Measurements: Each oval cufflink face measures 3/4" tall and 1/2" wide. The chain connecting the discs together measures 3/4" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or enameled detail, which is free of chips or scratches. The connecting chain is securely attached.
