A lovely heart-shaped locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, the simple design is both romantic and beautiful, and maybe even symbolic if you know someone with a "heart of glass". The locket opens at the side, revealing two spaces for storing special photographs inside. Both sides of the piece are left simple and display a smooth heart-shaped, beveled-edge glass. At the top of the heart is a simple gold ring bail, allowing it to hang easily from a favorite chain. This lovely locket is a perfect keepsake piece, and could make a romantic gift for someone special!
Measurements: The locket hangs 1" long (including the ring at the top). The locket is 5/8" wide at its widest point and 5mm thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold surface or ring bail for hanging. Both pieces of glass are intact and free of major scratches, chips, and cracks. The locket hinge is in good condition, allowing the piece to open easily and snap securely shut.
