Edwardian Platinum Diamond and Sapphire Engagement Ring 1.39ctw

SKU: 46258

$10,995

A gorgeous diamond and sapphire engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era!

Crafted in platinum, this stunning piece holds a beautiful old Mine Cut diamond at its center, encircled by a row of fabulous rich blue calibrated sapphires.

The center diamond has H color and VS2 clarity, weighing approximately 1.39ctw, and is held within a unique milgrained bezel in a pear shape.

The surrounding sapphires, which weigh approximately 0.50ctw, add a wonderful pop of color to the gorgeous ring. The mounting is accented by sparking Single Cut diamonds which carry along the sides and down the shoulders of the ring.

These diamonds are set within a fabulous and ornate filigree wirework mounting which includes geometric and flowing cutouts and milgrained accents, and collectively carry a combined weight of 0.50ctw. Traveling along the back of the ring is a wonderful woven design and milgrained detail at the top and bottom edge of the band perfectly complete the look of the piece. The ring was appraised in July of 2023 by an independently accredited GIA Diamonds Graduate, with a retail replacement value of $15,500.

When worn, the ring is positively radiant, delivering a spectacular sparkle and would make a stunning vintage engagement ring!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.25 but could easily be resized.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and the sapphires and all of the diamonds are intact.
