A handsome pair of devil face cufflinks from the Victorian (1880's) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, each of these fantastic cufflinks features a diabolic devil face with fantastic three-dimensional detail. The devil's are portrayed with realistic features including a furrowed brow, parted lips that reveal a slithering tongue, bat-like ears, and two small horns. Deep red ruby cabochons represent the devils' eyes and each cufflink fastens with an oval-shaped fixed backing attached by a curved gold bar. The underside of the oval-shaped back is stamped "14K". A very unique pair of cufflinks, they would look fantastic worn by a woman or a man!
Measurements: Each devil face measures 5/8" tall, 1/2" wide, and 1/4" thick. The bars on the back measure approximately 1/8" long.
Condition: The cufflinks are in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the ruby cabochons. The fixed backs are secure and in good working condition.
