A lovely pig fob/charm from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 14kt gold, this petite piece has a wonderful 3-dimensional design. The intricately textured surface includes a short tail, hoofed legs, pointed ears, and individual facial features for a realistic look. Attached to the top of the pig's back is a gold jump ring with lightly etched detail and a simple bail, allowing it to hang from a favorite chain or charm bracelet. Each of the eyes is set with a small garnet cabochon. In the Victorian era, pig charms were often worn for good luck! Perfect for a charm collector or animal enthusiast, this simple antique charm would make a great everyday accessory.
Measurement: The charm hangs approximately 5/8" long (including both rings at the top). The pig itself measures approximately 1/2" tall, just under 1" wide, and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold charm, gemstone eyes, or to either of the gold rings, both of which are securely attached.
