A fantastic pair of ivory earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is hand carved from ivory into a decorative urn motif. Each 3-dimensional urn swings freely at the center of a curved handle, adding lovely movement to the design. At the top are complimentary surmounts, comprised of solid ivory balls. Completing the design are modern clasped earring wires made of sterling silver. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings would be right at home in any Victorian collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/4" long, measures 1" at the widest point, and is 1/2" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the carved ivory or to the sterling silver earring wires.
